GYM CHALLENGES AT PULSE 8

 

Why Pulse 8?

 

 

At Pulse8 we like to keep our members challenged!

 

We use gym challenges to allow you to compete against yourself and see improvement in each session you do.  Our last gym challenge was a huge success with over 700 members competing against themselves to see how quickly they could burn a set number of calories!

 

MINI-TRIATHLON - GYM CHALLENGE OCTOBER 2008!

 

Yes it’s back! By popular demand, the mini-triathlon is with us again in the gym to help motivate you to become physically fitter and show you how a little bit of variety and intensity can make all the difference to you training!

 

This Challenge is designed to give you a test of your physical fitness and then take you on a journey of goal setting in order to show you improvements in your training. 

 

The mini-triathlon will test you on 3 disciplines.  First of all comes the rowing!  Now this is in the place of the swimming part of a normal triathlon and will get your whole body working together!  The benefits from training the whole body as one unit hugely out-weigh any training on the individual body parts singularly.  You will experience a solid cardiovascular workout, with a lot of strength and toning for both upper and lower body parts!

 

Next comes the cycle!  This is where you can really zone in to the mini-triathlon.  The cycling section gives you a chance to push yourself as much, or as little, as you wish giving you another great cardiovascular workout, but also a specific leg workout to build strength in the legs as well as the heart!

 

And finally…..The Run!  This is where you see it home!  It is your chance to once again to get that body working together to achieve great results and obtain your final time figure for the whole challenge!  Of course a quality cardiovascular workout will be involved with your run, but if you don’t fancy running, then you can walk for part of, or the whole, of this section!  It’s that simple!

 

Remember everyone……this challenge, like all of our challenges, is designed for you to work against yourself.  You are not in any competition with other people, just set your own goals and try your very best to beat them!  There really are no limits to this challenge and it can all be done at your own pace.

 

So come on, get involved, pack your gym kit and head down to the gym where you can pick up your gym challenge record card and speak to our fitness team to find out all the options available to you!
