PULSE 8 EXERCISE
CLASSES
BODY ATTACK: a cardio interval training class that
combines high intensity aerobics, strength and stabilisation exercises. This is
a rapid calorie burner that delivers fast improvement in general endurance and
an increase in body strength
BODYSTEP: takes out the complexity of a traditional
step class and adds in a lot of fun. This athletic programme will provide
strength and tone to your legs and give you a great cardio workout.
BODY COMBAT: based on boxing and martial art moves, this
class provides an experience that stimulates your mind as well as your body and
leaves you feeling invigorated and ready to take on life’s challenges.
BODY PUMP: high repetition weight training with aerobic
conditioning, this will tone and condition your body, can help you lose weight
and ultimately change your body shape, all in record time.
BODY BALANCE: all round toning using yoga based moves, the
perfect class for flexibility and strength work, creating an all over body
workout
AQUA: A fun motivating workout in the Spa Pool.
Each class will consist
of a continuous sequence of exercises, designed to aid fat loss and improve
muscle tone. This workout is suitable
for all levels.
AEROBIKE: A motivating cardio workout on bikes, a
truly invigorating class.
Beginners – a low intensity class aimed at new members
and those new to cycling.
Beginner/intermediate– a low- moderate intensity class suitable for
the majority of members.
Intermediate – a moderate-high intensity class designed to
push intermediate exercisers to their limits!
CIRCUITS: Aimed at those who wish to improve their
stamina, muscle tone and strength. An enjoyable and fun class using a variety
of equipment in a fast paced work-out. All of the circuit classes are ideal for
those who are training for skiing holidays
CARDIO BOX: An enjoyable fun class using a variety of
boxing-type exercises. It is aimed at those who wish to improve their stamina,
muscle tone and strength.
AEROBICS: An easy to follow and energetic aerobic
work-out with a short floor-work section and a mixture of hi/lo impact. An extremely
motivating and enjoyable classes.
AERO-DANCE: Dance yourself fit to your favourite tune of
the moment. Incorporate a variety of dances (Jazz, Salsa, Show Dancing etc.)
and aerobic style movements. This is a great way to workout while having fun
(duration 45min).
STEP: A Step work-out aimed at those familiar with
step and looking to work hard but have a fun class.
TRIPLE 20: This fun/unique class is a combination of
aerobics/step/conditioning/stretching all in one class.
STREET DANCE: A fun and lively dance based class that
features choreographed routines. No
previous dance experience is necessary
B.L.T: The perfect class for those areas that you
want to concentrate on toning, incorporating exercise bands, hand weights and
floor work.
TOTAL BODY CONDITIONING: A combination of aerobics and conditioning
work. A chance to change the shape & tone of your body by using light hand
weights and resistance bands
PERFECT CONDITION: a fun, high energy workout of basic aerobic
moves for a high fat burning class.
STEP & TONE: A
basic step based class to promote muscle tone and shape. This is also an
extremely effective workout.
STEP-BUMS-TUMS: An
easy to follow fun and effective workout using Step and floor exercises. It
will target tighten and tone legs, bums and tums.
YOUNG AT HEART: A class aimed at movement, mobilisation and
flexibility. Incorporating aerobic moves and body conditioning, this class is
ideal for the more senior members who enjoy a challenge.

HATHA YOGA: This is a one and a half hour class
consisting of stretching, relaxation and mind control. A very effective and
enjoyable class.
ASHTANGA YOGA: This is a faster pace yoga that helps build
flexibility, stamina, concentration and strength. When doing Ashtanga yoga a person moves quickly through a set of
predetermined poses while remaining focused on deep breathing.
*TAI CHI FIT: is about generating and feeling
energy through movement.
You will learn a gentle yet powerful
dance-like sequence.
Daily practice will increase your sense of well being and help you to deal with
the stresses of life. This is a specialized/seasonal class and will run from
8th January to the 1st April. Please check notice boards for more
details.
BALLET/ STREET DANCE: A range of classes for children of all ages
and levels of ability. Please see

BALLROOM DANCING: Additional charge starting from £5.00 and

WATSU: A
form of holistic aquatic bodywork that involves stretching and massage
movements that promotes stress release and relaxation. No swimming ability is
required and suitable for all ages and gender. These sessions are available in
Pulse 8 and are £40 for 45min. For more information please contact Jan Sussex

Other than Aqua classes it is not
necessary to book in advance. Aqua
classes can be booked up to 6 days in advance. All other classes are on a first come first served basis and
instructors have the right to restrict numbers.
Aqua classes have a maximum capacity
of 20 participants.
Aerobike classes are for a maximum of
35 people. .
A timetable is displayed on the entrance to the Spa Pool/Aerobike
studio detailing class instructors for each class for the forthcoming week.
